Alteration Services
Alterations is one of the most important details in preparing your gown for your wedding day. Your gown should fit as if it was made just for you with each curve of your silhouette in mind. Our seamstress, having decades of expertise, is able to do just that.
For your fitting, you will want to be sure to have the following items on hand:
- The undergarments you will be wearing with your gown: be it petticoat, slip, or bra.
- The shoe you will be wearing, to ensure the hem is the proper length.
How long does it take?
Our seamstress works by wear date... meaning, upcoming wear dates take utmost priority. However, you will want to plan ahead to accommodate several fittings.
(Remember: leave time for your gown to be complete before your bridal portrait.)
Typically, a bridal gown requires a first, second, and final fitting. While, bridesmaids and mothers dresses usually require a first and final fitting.
Designing
Because of the confidence we have in our seamstress, you will many times hear us say, “she can do anything!”. If you desire a custom shawl, sleeve, or jacket to be added to your ensemble, she is more than happy to accommodate. She is also able to create custom junior bridesmaid, flower girl, and maternity dresses.
